Starlink Mini portable satellite internet — Starlink hire across NSW

From the outback to the alps

Starlink connects to satellites, not towers, so the map of where it works looks nothing like your carrier's. It's built for the parts of NSW that get left off the coverage maps.

Country our NSW customers take it to:

  • Far-west outback — Broken Hill, Menindee, Mungo and the Darling
  • Snowy Mountains and Kosciuszko camps and lodges
  • North Coast and Northern Rivers hinterland
  • Working farms, stations and remote job sites

One kit, the whole state

The Mini weighs 1.1 kg and packs into a backpack, so it's just as at home in a touring caravan as it is on a fencing job three hours from town. It runs off mains, a 12V car socket or a USB-C power bank, and it's IP67 rated for dust, heat and rain.

Hire it by the day, week or month with unlimited data throughout — no plan to sign, nothing to install.

Common questions

Can I get it anywhere in NSW?

Collection and return are from Ourimbah on the Central Coast. Once you've got it, it works anywhere in the state with a clear view of the sky.

Does it really work in the far west and outback?

Yes — outback NSW is one of the best use cases, because there's often no mobile coverage at all. Starlink doesn't need a tower, only open sky.

What does it cost for a longer trip?

A week is $129 (about $18/day) and a month is $349 (about $12/day), both with unlimited data. Longer touring hires work out cheapest by the month.

How is it powered out bush?

It averages 25–40 watts. Use the supplied mains adapter at powered sites, a compatible 12–48V DC source, or a 100W USB-C PD power bank (20V/5A) with the correct accessory cable.
