Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect when you book a Starlink hire, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Outback WiFi (“we”, “us”) operates outbackwifi.com.au and hires out Starlink equipment from Ourimbah, NSW 2258. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can contact us at danieljhall@me.com.
What we collect
When you make a booking request or contact us, we collect:
- Your name, email address and (if you provide it) phone number
- Your hire dates and, if you tell us, where you're headed
- Any notes you add to your booking
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit the site
Payment information
Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment page — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
We use your information only to run the hire:
- To confirm availability, manage your booking and arrange pickup or delivery
- To send you booking confirmations, a payment link and pickup details
- To contact you about your hire if we need to
- To keep records of bookings for our own accounting and legal obligations
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to operate the business, and only as needed:
- Our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon), which store the booking data
- Stripe, to take payment
- Our email provider (Resend), to send you booking emails
- A private messaging alert (Telegram) that notifies the owner of new bookings
- Others where required by law
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal and tax obligations, then remove them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner where we're not required to keep them.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure hosting and encrypted connections. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we're not legally required to keep it. Just email danieljhall@me.com and we'll help.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page.
