The big lap, sorted
Starlink hire for caravans & RVs
Doing the big lap, or just a few weeks on the road? A Starlink Mini keeps the van connected between towns — for navigation, bookings, staying in touch and streaming at the end of a long drive.
Hiring beats buying if you're not permanently on the road: unlimited data while you've got it, no plan to keep paying for, and you hand it back when you're home.
- Roam in-motion support in selected areas (secure mount required)
- Unlimited data — $129/week, $349/month
- No contract; hire only for your trip

Made for life on the road
The Mini is small enough to stash in a locker and tough enough for corrugated roads. Set it on the drawbar or a table at camp, and it's serving Wi-Fi to the whole van in minutes.
Why it suits caravanners and grey nomads:
- Stay connected between towns where mobile drops out
- Navigation, fuel and camp bookings on the move
- Stream and video-call the grandkids from anywhere
- Keep working remotely to fund the trip
Try before you buy
A lot of travellers hire first to see how they use it before committing to their own kit and a monthly plan. A month's hire is $349 with unlimited data — a low-risk way to road-test satellite internet on your rig.
Touring for longer? Monthly is the cheapest rate, at roughly $12 a day.

Common questions
Does Starlink work while the caravan is moving?
Starlink Roam supports in-motion use in selected areas when the Mini is safely secured in a suitable vehicle mount. The mount is not included with this hire kit; the supplied kickstand is for stationary setup.
Is hiring better than buying for a big lap?
If you're not permanently on the road, often yes. Hiring means unlimited data for the weeks you need it and nothing to pay once you're home — no hardware outlay and no ongoing plan.
How small does it pack down?
It's about 1.1 kg and folds flat into a padded case that slips into a locker or the boot. Setup and pack-down take a few minutes each.
What does a month on the road cost?
$349 for the month with unlimited data — about $12 a day — which is the cheapest rate for longer touring. Weeks are $129.
